A two-page report on The Best FIFA Football Awards 2025, held in Doha in December. Aitana Bonmati is crowned The Best FIFA Women’s Player for a third year running, becoming the first female footballer to win three in succession, with votes drawn equally from national-team captains and coaches, fans and media. England take a double: Sarina Wiegman is Best FIFA Women’s Coach after a second successive EURO title, and Hannah Hampton wins the goalkeeping award following a starring role in Switzerland and a domestic treble with Chelsea. Mexico’s Lizbeth Ovalle takes the second FIFA Marta Award for a scorpion kick scored for Tigres against Guadalajara. The facing page lists the Best FIFA Women’s 11, drawn entirely from England and Spain.
