Barclays WSL Quick Kicks: Top Ten With Ruesha Littlejohn

The Aston Villa midfielder answers the magazine’s ten-question questionnaire and does it in character. Introduced as a genuine livewire and, even with a twin sister in sports broadcasting, an unmistakeable one-off, Littlejohn describes herself as hard-working and good-looking, would have the team run out to You’ll Never Walk Alone as sung at Parkhead, and would box professionally so she could whack a few people without getting into trouble. The replayed moment she picks is not a goal: under a former Republic of Ireland coach she came on, won a penalty, took it and missed, knowing she was heading straight back down the pecking order and that the coach was raging Katie McCabe had not taken it. She would take Remi Allen and Rachel Corsie to Malaga for football debates and a couple of pints.
