Barclays Super League Action Gallery (16 September – 19 November 2022)

Two pages of photographs covering the first ten weeks of the WSL season. Ella Toone opens the scoring in Manchester United’s thrilling 3-2 win at Arsenal; Chloe Kelly leaps on Bunny Shaw after a Manchester City goal; Rachel Daly, newly converted to a forward at Aston Villa, scores at Chelsea; and Lauren James is all smiles after scoring in a 3-1 Chelsea win over Villa. There is weather as well as football: a sunset over Brighton’s People’s Pension Stadium at Crawley, and West Ham’s Honoka Hayashi trying to warm up in a downpour. Leicester City huddle in the rain during a 4-0 home defeat in which Stina Blackstenius scored Arsenal’s fourth, and Kim Little glides through midfield at the Emirates.
