Twelve photographs from the first two months of the 2020-21 Barclays FA Women’s Super League, the season the summer’s transfer window had reshaped. Alanna Kennedy helps Alex Morgan up at Tottenham; Sam Kerr is delighted to score against Manchester City; Tobin Heath releases her emotion after netting at West Ham. Ella Toone hits the winner for Manchester United against Arsenal and Gemma Davison shines under lights. Lotte Wubben-Moy, an Arsenal fan and youth-team graduate, gets her first senior goal for the club. There is Claudia Walker’s Midlands derby glee, Brooke Chaplen celebrating Amalie Eikeland’s goal with what the caption calls restraint, Anita Asante mobbed after scoring for Aston Villa, Ebony Salmon leaping for Bristol City, and Everton’s captain Lucy Graham wearing a very large grin.
