All Hail: Charley McNamara interview (Hull City FAWPL manager) plus Premier League Round-Up and FAWPL Hotshots

Wilf Frith talks to Charley McNamara after Hull City opened their first ever FA Women’s Premier League campaign with back-to-back wins. McNamara traces her path from Tickton AFC at 14 to being scouted for Westella and Willerby, a break to concentrate on education, six years at Beverley Town after Rachel Gay approached her, and a return to Hull when Beverley folded. She reports a number of new signings and a whole new reserve squad of youngsters, and says pre-season identified strength and team fitness as the things to work on. McNamara says she likes being an underdog and wants more than a tester season, believing the belief, talent, management and support are all there to go all the way. The page also carries a Premier League round-up and divisional top-scorer lists.
