Alex Morgan, Orlando Pride and USA (double-page poster)

The centre of the new Little Kicks section is a double-page poster of Alex Morgan in Orlando Pride colours, her shirt number 13 in display type, with a fact file pitched at the readers it is for: born in Diamond Bar, California on 2 July 1989, a forward, one hundred and forty-five caps and ninety goals as of 18 August 2018, and a nickname – Baby Horse – that her United States team mates gave her because of the way she runs. She had scored four goals in the Tournament of Nations weeks earlier, as this issue’s news pages report. Credited to PA Images, it is a poster published expressly for children rather than for the magazine’s usual readership, and the one they were most likely to put on a wall.
