Interview
A Whole NEW Experience: Grace Rapp on a US soccer scholarship (University of Miami)
She Kicks, issue SK22, July 2014 p.31
An interview with Grace Rapp, the former Yeovil Town and England youth player taking up a soccer scholarship at the University of Miami. Rapp explains that she began considering the United States because she was unsure what to study in the UK and liked an academic system that lets you try many classes before choosing a major while combining high-level sport with study. Scouted through PASS4Soccer by former Miami assistant coach Matt Kagan, she describes a beautiful campus, hot climate and facilities like nothing she had seen, and admits going home grumpy after the visit convinced she had no chance. She details what the scholarship provides, plans to study in the communications department, and advises others to reply to emails quickly, sound keen and research thoroughly until a university feels right.
