A Day in the Life — Tracy Lewis, FA Head of Physiotherapy

She Kicks, issue SK12, February 2013 pp.28–29

A day in the life of Tracy Lewis, the FA’s Head of Physiotherapy for the women’s game, set out in her own words and split between life on the road and off it. She oversees physiotherapy care for every female international across all age groups, organising cover for camps, fixtures and the four annual Elite Performance Camps, collating medical information, liaising with clubs and Centres of Excellence over fitness, and running screening three times a year. On the road, at England’s January camp in La Manga, her day runs from an early gym session through morning monitoring, treatment slots either side of two training sessions, and staff meetings. She names Naomi Datson, Dave Lee and Yvonne McLaughlin among colleagues.
