2026 UWCL Final
Her Goal, issue 7, June 2026 pp.6–7
Barcelona and OL Lyonnes met in a fourth Champions League final, and the Catalans made it emphatic. At Oslo’s Ullevaal Stadion on 23 May, before 24,258, Lyonnes had an early Lindsey Heaps effort ruled out by VAR for offside before Barca struck with their first shot on target, Ewa Pajor taking Patri Guijarro’s pass and finishing low past Christiane Endler on 55 minutes. Pajor tapped in a second after 68 minutes when Lyonnes were slow to Esmee Brugts’ ball across and Salma Paralluelo squared. Tabitha Chawinga spurned a one-on-one at the other end, and Paralluelo then struck twice late, from the edge of the area and through on goal. Jonatan Giraldez lost to his old club, now led by Pere Romeu; it is Barcelona’s fourth UWCL crown, all since 2021.
