2026 Sky Sports Cup Final

Glasgow City won the Sky Sports Cup 2-1 against Rangers at Fir Park on 29 March, in a game that will be remembered as the Lisa Forrest final. Leanne Ross’s league leaders faced opponents who had won the last three editions of this competition on top of two consecutive Scottish Cups, and had to wait until the 70th minute for a breakthrough. Forrest arrived at the back post to bundle in Lisa Evans’s corner, then unleashed a spectacular second within 89 seconds, cutting in from the left and firing into the far corner from outside the box. Katie Wilkinson’s thunderous 89th-minute strike proved only a consolation as City lifted the trophy for the first time since 2015.
