A South Wales derby at Rodney Parade on 19 April produced one of the season’s great comebacks. Swansea City led through Chloe Chivers at half-time and were 3-0 up within three minutes of the restart, Aimee Deacon finishing from close range and Maisie Miller striking low from the edge of the area. Cardiff City responded with a 65th-minute dink from Fiona Barry, a Shannon Evans header four minutes later, and a Barry shot that looped in off Swansea captain Jessica Williams to level with ten minutes left. With no extra time, Cardiff converted all five penalties; Ceryn Chamberlain saved from retiring Swansea great Stacey John, and Megan Bowen won it on Noah Bushby’s first game in charge.
