2023/24 BWSL’s Big Moves
She Kicks, issue 81, October 2023 pp.40–41
A two-page rundown of the summer’s standout Barclays WSL signings, running to more than 40 moves. Alessia Russo leaves Manchester United for Arsenal, who also add Kyra Cooney-Cross, Laia Codina, Amanda Ilestedt and Cloe Lacasse; Chelsea take Catarina Macario, Ashley Lawrence, Mia Fishel and Hannah Hampton; and Manchester United respond with Gabby George, Geyse, Hinata Miyazawa and Phallon Tullis-Joyce. Aston Villa, Everton, Brighton and Leicester City are all busy. She Kicks adds two editorial verdicts: Brighton and Villa are credited with the best business, with Jill Roord tipped as a vital cog for Manchester City, while Chelsea’s recruitment is judged the most exciting.
