12th FA Women’s Premier League Awards

A report on the twelfth and, with the Super League switching to summer, presumably last FA Women’s Premier League awards lunch, held at Wembley on 29 June 2010. Arsenal’s Kim Little took the Tesco Players’ Player award and the Umbro top scorer prize for the National Division; Katie Chapman was named Nationwide England Player; and Sunderland’s Jordan Nobbs won the FA Young Player award, presented by Denise Lewis. The Tesco Manager awards went to Rick Passmoor of Leeds Carnegie in the National Division, Robbie Johnson of Liverpool in the Northern and Tracey Kevins of Barnet in the Southern, with Cheryl Foster of Liverpool and Stacey Sowden of Barnet the other divisional top scorers. Arsenal took the Tesco Club award and Liverpool the FA Fair Play award, while Leeds Carnegie won for club media and Doncaster Rovers Belles for marketing. Sue Prior of Charlton Athletic received the FA Special Achievement Award.
