Australia were 4-1 winners in the international friendly with Argentina in Canberra, while South Korea drew 1-1 with Colombia.

Amy Sayer had the Matildas ahead from a Kahli Johnson cross, Kishi Núñez was then played in to curl home the equaliser for Argentina. Sayer – back after a long-term injury – got her second goal of the night by half time, with a clinical first-time finish across the goalkeeper from Caitlin Foord’s perfect through ball.

Australia took control after the break and scored twice in the last 20 minutes, Alanna Kennedy firing home after Michelle Heyman was denied, the latter then finishing herself following an interception by Foord.

South Korea took just two minutes to lead against Colombia through a Jung Min-young opener, but an hour later Kim Jin-hui conceded an own goal as the match was drawn.

Catalonia almost forced a draw against Chile with a late Judit Pablos double, after Karen Araya, Sonya Keefe and Rosario Balmaceda all scored for the Chileans.
