Amelia Oldroyd has signed her first professional contract with Man City Women.
The Scotland Under-19 international stood out for City’s Next Gen side during the 2025-26 campaign, as the team secured a fifth-place finish in their debut Professional Game Academy Under-21 season.
The midfielder was included in first team matchday squads for three WSL matches last season and one League Cup tie.
After signing her first professional contract, Oldroyd said: “It’s unbelievable. As a child you always dream of this day. It just shows the hard work and dedication you put in, you get a reward at the end. I’m really happy to do so.
“It’s amazing. It’s a dream come true, you couldn’t ask for a better club to be at and I can’t wait to get playing and I’m excited to see what comes next.”
Director of Football Therese Sjogran added: “We are really pleased to see Amelia sign her first professional contract with us.
“This is a really special moment for her and the club and one she deserves after the hard work she’s put in since arriving at City.
“Her dedication has been clear to see during her rehabilitation from an injury and we’re all excited to see her back on the pitch for the next chapter in her career which will no doubt be bright.”
