The Adobe Women’s FA Cup 3rd Round sees Eastern League Royston away to Southampton, Southern League AFC Portchester with home advantage over another WSL2 side, Ipswich Town, with three divisions between the opponents.

The Crows are taking two coaches of fans from North Hertfordshire to Hampshire, while ‘Portchy’ could again break their attendance record set at 332 in the previous round.

Dartford give away a two-division advantage at home to London Bees, similarly Mancunian Unity who entertain Hull City after warming up with a 5-0 league victory over Bury last weekend.

Darts’ former West Ham forward Paris Smith told dartfordfc.com: “Winning the last game meant everything to us all. We’ve obviously finished second in the league for the past few seasons, so an amazing cup run will be up there with promotion, should we finally achieve it.

“I made it to the fourth round once before with Billericay in 2020 when we drew 1-1 and lost on pens. So my ambition is to do it again with Dartford and take it even further.”

Altrincham of the North West League Division One South are the lowest-ranked team left in the competition but host a York City side sitting 10th in FAWNL Division One North.

Altrincham captain Nat Lowe told thefa.com: “It’s been absolutely amazing. It’s exceeded our expectations, you know we never expected to be in this position but having said that we have put in some really good performances along the way and we’ve enjoyed ourselves and that’s all we’re going to do at the weekend is just make the most of it, enjoy it, and do our best.

“It would be huge to progress to the fourth round proper. As far as I know no sixth-tier side has ever got that far into the competition, and if they ever would again who knows.”

There are two all-WSL2 ties as Durham host Sheffield United and Bristol City play Portsmouth, while Charlton and Crystal Palace face former second-tier teams when at home to Watford and away to Lewes respectively.

The late kick-off at the Dripping Pan on Sunday will be televised live, as will Wolves versus Nottingham Forest on Saturday lunchtime.

Oxford United meet Plymouth for the third time in recent weeks, with Argyle coming out on top 1-0 away and 3-2 at home in the League Cup – after trailing 2-0.

Fulham head to AFC Bournemouth with both teams on the rise and pushing for back-to-back promotions, but the Cherries hold a one-division advantage over the Cottagers.

Peterborough United are also a division below hosts Burnley, but both well-positioned for promotion.

Winning clubs at this stage receive £35,000 from the prize fund, while eliminated sides get £9,000.
