The Barclays Women’s Super League resumes after the latest international break with Arsenal and Liverpool meeting at Emirates Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.
Arsenal have the chance to get back into the top three – if only briefly – when hosting a Liverpool side at the bottom of the table and without a win.
The visitors are likely to be without captain Grace Fisk, who picked up a calf injury while away with England, and Sam Kerr, who has been dealing with a slight stress fracture in her back.
Leicester City are without a win for a while and now face leaders Manchester City, who are on a seven-game winning streak.
Second-placed Chelsea wrap up the top-flight fixtures for the weekend with a visit from Everton, who, like the Foxes, are struggling to secure a second victory.
Toffees boss Brian Sorensen told @EvertonWomen of Chelsea: “They are a very good team. They are unbeaten. Are there weaknesses in the team? Yes. Can we exploit them? Yes. But, we must be at the top of our game. We must go out and play the best we can.”
Manchester United take on West Ham, with the third-placed Red Devils aiming to bounce back from back-to-back defeats, while the Hammers look to continue their improved form that has earned them four points from their last two outings.
Spurs and Aston Villa go head-to-head, with both showing mixed form recently and Villa proving to be the draw specialists.
London City meet Brighton in a mid-table clash, with the Lionesses boasting four wins from their last five games.
WSL 2 leaders Charlton are away to Portsmouth, who have improved with two wins from their last three.
Birmingham are four points behind the Addicks and on their travels to Crystal Palace.
Bristol City are a further three points back and hosting Sheffield United, who are unbeaten in five.
Nottingham Forest play Sunderland, who have lost their last three, while Durham entertain Ipswich, who are five points adrift at the bottom.
Newcastle and Southampton clash on Monday evening, with the Magpies a point ahead of the Saints in the top half of the table.
