Ireland Women defeated Hungary 3-2 at a behind-closed-doors international friendly in Marbella, where Denise O’Sullivan scored their decisive third goal.

Carla Ward’s side were two up in under 20 minutes, Abbie Larkin pouncing on a mistake at the back for the first, before turning provider for Kyra Carusa to score.

Borbála Vincze soon halved the deficit, but eight minutes into the second half, Denise O’Sullivan restored the two-goal cushion in style.

Hungary again pulled a goal back, but with 90 minutes gone, it was too late.
