City grabbed a second before the break, as six minutes later Lauren Hemp pounced on Yui Hasegawa’s corner that rebounded off the post.
Second-placed Forest couldn’t get back into the tie, as City finished four points ahead of them.
The draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place on Tuesday 25 November.
