Arsenal Women squandered a two-goal lead to suffer a 3-2 defeat away to Bayern Munich in the UWCL.

Emily Fox gave the Gunners a great start at the Allianz Arena, heading the visitors into a fifth-minute lead.

With just a quarter of the match gone, Arsenal were already two goals up, as Mariona Caldentey found the net from outside the box.

Bayern halved the deficit after the hour mark on the break, as Klara Bühl set up the chance for Alara Sehitler.

The lead was erased with 10 minutes left of the 90, Bühl again involved as Pernille Harder also scored from beyond the area.

It got even worse for Arsenal as Bühl completed a hat-trick of assists, with Glódís Viggósdóttir scoring from her corner kick as Renee Slegers’ side lost for the second time in three league-stage matches.

In the other early kick-off, Barcelona broke the deadlock against OH Leuven during first-half stoppage time through Alexia Putellas.

Following an own goal by Kim Everaerts, Irene Paredes scored Barca’s third goal as they sealed a third straight win.
