U.S. Women defeated New Zealand 6-0 in an international friendly, which featured a hat-trick by Emma Sears.

Sears scored her first goal early on, turning in a cross from Michelle Cooper, who had been picked out by Lily Yohannes’ backheeled pass.

Goalkeeper Victoria Esson managed to get a boot on Catarina Macario’s shot but couldn’t keep it out, while Rose Lavelle curled home the third goal from the edge of the box just before the break.

Cooper was again involved as Sears scored her second goal, then following a pass from Lindsey Heaps, Macario also doubled her tally.

Sam Coffey’s deflected free-kick bounced off the woodwork, and Sears was there to complete her hat-trick with a tap-in.

Other results:
Chad 16-0 Libya
Tunisia 4-0 Afghanistan
Saudi Arabia 5-0 Singapore
India 1-1 Nepal (Nepal won 3-0 on pens)
