Saltdean United Secure Statement Win Over Brentford Women

Saltdean United were the first to take points off Brentford Women this season, Naomi Robinson’s goal putting the Sussex side top of the London & South East League.

EASTERN – Perfect 10 for Histon

Premier – Stevenage moved three points clear at the top with seven goals against Harpenden Town, while Royston Town defeated Watford Ladies Development 4-1 to go second. Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers’ Leilah Gooding scored twice in their 3-0 win over St Albans City, moving them to third. Atletico London climbed to fourth after thrashing Bowers & Pitsea 6-1, Wroxham secured a 1-0 win at Haringey Borough, Enfield Town edged out Hutton 2-1 in the basement battle.

1 North – Histon have won all 10 games so far following a 3-1 victory over second-placed Stevenage Development, who have now been caught by Real Bedford Reserves after their 2-2 draw at Dunstable Town, where substitute Sanam Shahid scored. Newmarket Town substitute Cerys Bithall scored twice, with Amy Phillips and Anna Gifford doing the same for Colney Heath in a 4-4 draw. Mulbarton Wanderers defeated Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds 4-1, it ended 1-1 between Biggleswade United and Hitchin Belles, while Cambridge City played out a goalless draw against Thetford Town.

1 South – Brentwood Town are one of six teams on 10 points after holding leaders Chelmsford City to a 1-1 draw. Hashtag United Reserves are a point off the top following their 4-1 victory over Wormley Rovers. Hertford Town’s Emma Nolan scored all three goals at Brantham Athletic, Southend United defeated Colchester United 2-0, and Toby FC beat Stanway Pegasus 3-1.

EAST MIDLANDS – Spireites Stay Top

Premier – Chesterfield FC remained top on goal difference with a 2-1 win at Anstey Nomads, while Rotherham United kept pace with a 3-1 victory away to Gainsborough Trinity. Loughborough Foxes Vixens dominated SJR Worksop with a 9-1 thrashing, Mansfield Town secured a 3-1 win at Stamford.

1 Central – Leaders Long Eaton United ran out 5-3 victors at Melbourne Dynamo, Nottingham Trent University’s 3-2 success at Basford United was their third win from three, while Coalville Town drew 1-1 with West Bridgford.

1 North – Grimsby Town secured a 3-0 victory over Notts County Development, with Milly North scoring twice to help achieve their fourth straight win. Dronfield Town extended their streak to three with a 5-1 triumph over Arnold Eagles. Newark Town’s Connie Forman delivered a hat-trick in their 5-2 win at Cleethorpes Town, while Chesterfield CT edged past Lincoln United Development 2-1.

1 South – Top side Leicester City LFC had a 4-2 victory over Stanground Cardea Sports, Northampton Town Development edged a seven-goal thriller against Brackley Town. Newport Pagnell Town won 3-1 at Dunton & Broughton United, as did Netherton United at Thrapston, where Katie Steward scored twice.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Saltdean Hit the Summit

Premier – Saltdean United’s Naomi Robinson scored to knock Brentford off the top, as the visitors dropped points for the first time. Dorking Wanderers are third with a 5-0 win over Newhaven, while Dartford lost to the only goal at Sutton United. Millwall Lionesses defeated Aylesford 2-0, Ashford Town drew 2-2 with Sport London E Benfica, while Barking’s Asanteni Charles netted three of their 10 goals against Ebbsfleet United.

1 North – Bromley got all five goals at Hackney, while hat-tricks from Melanie Espinosa and Bethany Hull contributed to an 8-0 midweek win over Soccer Elite Football Academy, who later conceded eight more at AFC Greenwich Borough. Camden Town scored five at Richmond & Kew, Hammersmith netted four against Herne Bay, Clapton CFC’s Leigha Bradding-Butler featured with a treble during a 4-1 victory at Ashford United.

1 South – Bognor Regis Town claimed a 2-1 victory at Steyning Town midweek to move to the top, then followed it up with seven goals at Frimley Green, where Kimberley Fuller secured a hat-trick. Eastbourne Borough defeated Bexhill United 4-1 for their seventh consecutive win, while Ashmount Leigh took the points with a 2-0 win at Steyning.

NORTH EAST – Rutherford Rock Ten-Player Norton With Five-Goal Spree

Premier – Bradford City’s sixth win of the season came with a 3-0 victory in the top-two clash against Thornaby, who are now overtaken by Spennymoor Town following their 4-0 win at Harrogate Town. South Shields fought back from one down at the break to secure a 3-1 result at Ossett United, Brunsmeer Athletic handed Sunderland West End a 4-1 defeat, Alnwick Town triumphed 3-0 over Wallsend BC.

1 North – Gateshead Rutherford came out on top 5-3 in the goal-fest against Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves, as they scored five times in the 15 minutes at the end of the first half, the visitors going down to 10 players at 2-2. Birtley Town bagged five at Redcar Town to climb to second, i2i International Soccer Academy won 2-0 at Stockton Town. Berwick Rangers returned from Park View with a 3-2 result, while Hartlepool United downed Wallsend BC Reserves 4-1.

1 South – Leeds Modernians’ fifth straight win was a 3-1 triumph at Ilkley Town, while Handsworth secured their fourth with a 4-2 victory against Altofts, thanks to Abby Watkinson scoring twice. Lower Hopton let a 2-0 lead slip at Sheffield Wednesday before sealing the win with Dani Anthony’s second goal of the day. Rossington Main got off the mark with a 5-2 victory at Millmoor, and Farsley emerged as 4-2 winners at York City Development.

NORTH WEST – Curzon and Warrington Progess on Penalties

1 Central – Wigan Athletic’s 3-0 win over Radcliffe came with Aimee Woodward scoring twice, as the visitors endured their tenth defeat in ten games.

1 North – Haslingden trailed Chorley Women Development 2-0 at the hour mark but with a dozen minutes left had hit back to lead 3-2, as Charlotte Whalley scored their decisive third goal.

1 South – Wirral Phoenix rose to third spot with a 2-1 victory at Macclesfield, where Jessica Smylie scored their crucial second goal.

Alliance Design & Print Cup 1st Rd – Curzon Ashton eliminated Fleetwood Town Wrens 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 deadlock, while Warrington Town advanced 4-2 in the shoot-out following a 2-2 tie with Blackpool. Penrith’s Heather Fawkes scored an 80th-minute goal for a 2-1 victory at Salford City. Tranmere Rovers secured a 3-1 win over Poulton Vics, thanks to a first-quarter double by Lorna Stratton. Rochdale’s Sophie Coates netted twice as they progressed 4-2 at Morecambe. AFC Fylde dominated hosts MSB Woolton 13-2, with substitute Molly Kelly scoring four goals. Chester led 1-0 against Manchester Laces, but the game was abandoned at 65 minutes. 1 North – Farnham Town lead the table with their 100% record exteded to a fifth game. Their 8-4 victory at AFC Varsity saw them take the leadership off Andover New Street.

League Cup 2nd Rd – Two ties went to penalties after ending level at 1-1, with Fleet Town beating Wimborne Town 4-3 from the spot and Penn & Tylers Green winning 3-1 over Bournemouth Sports Reserves. Shaftesbury lost 3-1 to Larkspur Rovers, with Savana Fearon clinching it with her second and decisive goal. Southampton Women’s sub Olivia Glover got a couple as they also progressed 3-1 at Sholing. Other results: Andover New Street 3-1 AFC Stoneham, Badshot Lea 0-4 AFC Portchester, Beaconsfield Town 6-1 Chesham United Development, Denham United 2-3 Winchester City Flyers, Slough Town 1-0 Woodley United, Wycombe Wanderers 6-0 Oxford City.

Premier – AEK Boco maintained pole position with a 2-1 victory away at Gloucester City, while Poole Town’s Lucy Coalter notched a brace in their 4-2 win at Pucklechurch Sports. Sherborne Town climbed to third place with a 9-1 thrashing of Bishops Lydeard, as Chloe Snook scored four goals.

1 North – Downend Flyers drew 2-2 with Mangotsfield United, ending their 100% record. Royal Wootton Bassett Town beat Bitton 3-1 for their fourth win in four, likewise Corsham Town whose 3-2 victory with a Gabriella Cullley double happened despite a fightback from Stockwood Wanderers. Bath City edged out Paulton Rovers 4-3, Cirencester Town scored all five goals at AFC Brislington, and Whitchurch defeated Gloucester City Reserves 4-2.

1 South – Yeovil Town moved on to maximum points from four games, as Jodi Cornwall scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory in the top-two clash at Weston-super-Mare. Wells City took advantage with a 2-0 win over Feniton to move into second place.

WEST MIDLANDS – Redditch Borough Beat Sphinx 6-5

Premier – Shifnal Town secured six straight wins with a 3-1 victory over Solihull Moors. Redditch Borough held on to second place with an extraordinary 6-5 triumph against Coventry Sphinx. Shrewsbury Town defeated Burton Albion 4-2 away, thanks to Katie Doster’s double. Leek Town’s Katie Maya scored a hat-trick in a 3-2 win at Coundon Court, despite a red card for substitute Sydney-Marie Gillan. Unbeaten Lye Town were held to a 1-1 draw at home by resilient Hednesford Town, while Port Vale narrowly defeated lowly Alvechurch 2-1.

1 North – Walsall moved three points clear with two unanswered goals at Telford Town, Chasetown won by the same score at Newcastle Town.

1 South – Bromsgrove Sporting scored seven times against Kingfisher, while chasers Knowle won 5-1 at Worcester City Reserves. Droitwich Spa’s Ameerah Ishola clinched the decider in a 3-2 victory at Crusaders. Halesowen Town secured a solid 2-2 draw with Leamington, Redditch United triumphed over Hereford Pegasus 5-1.
