Scotland Women Under-23s bounced back from an opening 3-0 home defeat to Sweden in the European friendly tournament by securing a 3-1 away victory against Italy.

Eilidh Adams took just four minutes to open the scoring at the Coverciano Training Centre.

Maria McAneny doubled the lead with less than a quarter of the match played but Monica Renzotti replied just before the break.

There was no further addition to the score until Michaela McAlonie sealed the victory, two minutes from the end of the 90.

Scotland WU23s’ next fixture is away to Belgium on Thursday 27 November.
