Regional League Cup progress was made on penalties by Chelmsford City Women, Grimsby Town, Newmarket Town and Stanground Cardea Sports.

EASTERN – Chelmsford Cause Cup Upset Against Haringey

League Cup 2nd Rd – Chelmsford City eliminated Haringey Borough 4-1 in a shoot-out after a 4-4 deadlock, Newmarket Town came through similarly at Thetford Town where they were tied at 2-2, Enfield Town beat Biggleswade United 5-2 as Rebecca Wheatley struck an extra-time hat-trick. Hashtag United Reserves’ Sophia Mylona got a double for a 3-2 success at Wroxham, Stevenage’s Amy Makewell scored three of their five goals at Cambridge City, Atletico London’s Brooke Haylock netting all three at Colney Heath. St Albans City got both goals of the match at Brentwood Town in a borrowed kit with their own held up in traffic. Results elsewhere were; Colchester United 7-1 Toby FC, Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds 1-9 Bowers & Pitsea, Histon 1-0 Hertford Town, Real Bedford Reserves 1-2 Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers, Wormley Rovers 3-6 Watford Ladies Development, Hutton 3-0 Dunstable Town, Royston Town 19-0 Brantham Athletic, Needham Market 2-1 Mulbarton Wanderers.

1 North – Stevenage Development overcame Hitchin Belles 8-2 to go within a couple of points of leaders Histon.

1 South – Stanway Pegasus jumped three places to seventh with a 2-0 victory over Southend United

EAST MIDLANDS – Grimsby Town and Stanground Cardea Sports Win on Penalties

Premier – Analeice Wilkes’ double helped Anstey Nomads to a first win, 3-1 in midweek against Wellingborough Town. Rotherham United play Chesterfield at Roundwood on Thursday 16 October.

League Cup 1st Rd – Progress was made on penalties for Grimsby Town 5-4 after a 2-2 score at Long Eaton United, plus Stanground Cardea Sports 3-2 at Thrapston following a 3-3 deadlock. Asfordby Amateurs beat Rotherham United 2-1 as Sarah Brown scored both their goals, Anstey edged out SJR Worksop 3-2 aided by Eleanor Towers’ brace. Melbourne Dynamo’s 8-2 beating of Basford United featured a Molly Boultbee hat-trick, Millie Standen also netted three for Chesterfield FC in an 8-0 win at Newark Town. Northampton Town Development’s Linda Jespere got the only goal against Netherton United, likewise Belper Town’s Jessica Smithurst at Sherwood, while Chesterfield CT sub Emily Walker was on target for a 3-2 victory at Nottingham Trent University. Other results were; Arnold Eagles 2-3 Leicester City LFC, Brackley Town 0-2 Dronfield Town, Coalville Town 1-4 Wellingborough Town, Dunton & Broughton United 6-2 River City, Loughborough Foxes Vixens 6-0 Cleethorpes Town, Mansfield Town 3-0 Stamford, Newport Pagnell Town 5-1 Gainsborough Trinity, University of Nottingham 1-6 New Bradwell St Peter, Notts County Development 3-1 Lincoln United Development.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Actonians Reserves Win 4-3 Thriller to Go Second.

Premier – Saltdean United won 4-1 at Barking to go within striking distance of top team Brentford, Aylesford third with a 3-0 defeat of Newhaven. Ashford Town put five past Ebbsfleet United, Millwall Lionesses’ Kayda Townsend got the only goal at Sport London E Benfica, Dorking Wanderers drew 1-1 with Sutton United. On Wednesday Newhaven play Saltdean at Fort Road, Saturday sees Ebbsfleet entertain Dorking at the Kuflik Stadium with kick-off at 5.30pm.

1 North – Actonians Reserves sub Isabelle Morley grabbed the decider in a 4-3 thriller with Richmond & Kew to put them second. AFC Greenwich Borough hit Ashford United for six, Herne Bay beat Hackney 2-1 with Ffion Sharp’s last-minute effort. Thursday brings a clash of Camden Town and Hackney at Wingate & Finchley FC.

1 South – Bognor Regis Town are level on points with leaders Eastbourne Borough following a 6-0 win at Montpelier Villa with four from Kimberley Fuller. Steyning Town’s Brooke Pallant got a couple for a 5-3 victory at Sevenoaks Town which also has them goal-difference off the top. Leatherhead beat Saltdean United Development 2-0, Bexhill United’s Felicity Kosti scored for a 1-0 win over Frimley Green whose Honey Hurwood was dismissed in added time. This Wednesday, Hastings host Bexhill at The Pilot Field.

League Cup – Bromley knocked out Eastbourne Borough 2-1, Ashmount Leigh were 4-0 winners at Soccer Elite Football Academy, Clapton CFC advanced 4-2 away to Hastings United.

NORTH EAST – Ponteland Pull Level on Points With Leaders

Premier – Ponteland United pipped Brunsmeer Athletic 4-3 with Annabel Bright’s stoppage-time winner to pull level on points with leaders Thornaby. Emily Burgin’s hat-trick for Ossett United was all in vain as Harrogate Town left 4-3 victors, Spennymoor Town saw off Alnwick Town 4-1.

1 North – Washington and Gateshead Rutherford recorded third straight wins, the former 3-0 at Wallsend BC Reserves, the latter 2-0 at Berwick Rangers. Stockton Town had a 3-0 result at Redcar Town, i2i International Soccer Academy drew 1-1 with Birtley Town.

1 South – Leeds Modernians narrowly beat Altofts with a Shameeka Fishley goal to extend their perfect start, Sheffield Wednesday had Jessica Birtles red-carded but still won 4-3 at Farsley with Nicole Shaw twice on target. York City Development went down to a late double from Lower Hopton’s Dani Anthony, Handsworth’s Abby Watkinson got two goals for a 3-1 result at Rossington Main, Millmoor are off the mark with a 1-1 draw against Ilkley Town.

NORTH WEST – Seven-Goal Ashton Town Hit Summit

Premier – AFC Fylde’s Emma Hickson bagged both goals for an eighth straight win, 2-1 at Crewe Alexandra. Mancunian Unity won 4-1 at FC United of Manchester, as did Bury at West Didsbury & Chorlton. Bolton Wanderers put five past Tranmere Rovers, Poulton Vics defeated Curzon Ashton with a Charlotte Navarro effort.

1 Central – Ashton Town went top with a 7-2 result against Pilkington, replacing Salford City who shared four goals at Rochdale. FC St.Helens came away from Wigan Athletic 4-2 victors, MSB Woolton’s Katie Thomas got a crucial second goal for a 2-1 win at Atherton Laburnum Rover, Mossley Hill Athletic beat Radcliffe 5-1.

1 North – Top two Bolton Wanderers Reserves and Blackpool drew 2-2, Preston North End stormed to a 12-1 victory at Fleetwood Town Wrens Reserves with five goals for Alicia Scott. Penrith won the goal-fest at Haslingden 6-4, as Kayleigh Wharton led the way with a four-goal haul and hosts’ sub Kerry Reeves was dismissed. Workington Town and Accrington Stanley shared six goals, Chorley Development beat Morecambe 3-1 helped by a double from Demi Jones.

1 South – Nantwich Town’s 10-1 victory over Liverpool Feds Reserves featured Amanda Fallon’s five goals, Runcorn Linnets ran out 7-2 winners at Wirral Phoenix. Chester got all three goals at AFC Crewe, Lily Parsons got Warrington Town’s decider for a 2-1 win over Manchester Laces, Altrincham drew 1-1 with Macclesfield .

SOUTHERN – Guernsey Draw With Ten-Player AFC Stoneham

Premier – Fleet Town got four without reply at Badshot Lea, AFC Portchester drew 2-2 with Oxford City, Southampton Women saw off Sholing 3-1, Winchester City Flyers beat Beaconsfield Town 2-0.

1 North – Abingdon United Development won 2-1 at Kidlington as substitute Jessica Exell struck, Denham United defeated Chesham United Development 8-0 with three for Brogan Moore, Leah Why’s brace brought Tilehurst Panthers a 2-1 victory at Oxford City Development. Farnborough beat Ascot United Reserves 2-1 as Ellie Stalley scored after 94 minutes, Larkspur Rovers’ Savana Fearon got both goals at Slough Town.

1 South – Guernsey’s Calleigh Hedley scored as they held leaders AFC Stoneham 1-1, visiting goal-scorer Mia House was shown a red card. Andover New Street’s Olivia Payne got four goals for a 5-1 win at Bursledon, Farnham Town sank hosts Wimborne Town 7-0. Havant & Waterlooville’s Emma-Jane May got the sole goal at AFC Varsity, as did Bemerton Heath Harlequins’ Georgia Brown away to Shaftesbury.

Shield Services Group SOUTH WEST – Corsham’s Redhouse Hits First-half Treble

Premier – AEK Boco stayed top with a 2-1 win at Frampton Rangers, Poole Town beat Bishops Lydeard 3-1. Torquay United pulled level on points with Pucklechurch Sports, whom they just got the better of 3-2 with 318 fans in attendance at Plainmoor. Sherborne Town’s Ellie Orritt got two goals as Saltash United were defeated by the same score,

1 North – Whitchurch netted nine past Paulton Rovers to go top, Corsham Town won 3-1 at AFC Brislington courtesy of a first-half treble for Shannon Redhouse. Bitton beat Downend Flyers by the odd goal in seven, Mangotsfield United were victorious over Cirencester Town with a Bryony Higgs goal, Royal Wootton Bassett Town took the points 2-0 against Gloucester City Reserves.

1 South Supplementary Cup Group Stage – Wells City found the net five times against Weymouth, Weston super Mare eight against Appledore

WEST MIDLANDS – Knowle Go Clear at the Top

Premier – Lye Town are up to second after Natasha Baptiste’s hat-trick at Leek Town, Redditch Borough beat Hednesford Town with Alisha Sheridan’s goal. Burton Albion took the points 2-1 at Alvechurch, Humera Ashfaq bagged a brace as Solihull Moors won 3-0 over Coundon Court.

1 North – Lichfield City are third following a 4-0 win at Rugby Town, while Telford Town’s 2-0 victory at Newcastle Town took them fourth.

1 South – Knowle went clear at the top after a 7-2 win against Hereford Pegasus in which Darcey Garner notched a treble. Bromsgrove Sporting beat Hereford FC 2-0 away to climb to second place. Crusaders’ Zara Hussain scored twice for a 4-2 win at Redditch United, while it finished 2-2 between Leamington and Kingfisher.
