Delayed Second Round Qualifying ties in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup saw Crewe Alexandra, Crusaders and Penrith secure their places in the next stage.

Penrith ran out 5-0 winners at Carlisle United and will now host in-form Blackpool next Sunday, 5 October. Four goals in 23 first-half minutes effectively secured their passage.

Crewe Alexandra came through 3-1 at Runcorn Linnets to book a home tie against Harrogate Town. It was not until the 82nd minute that Tasia Brough made the breakthrough, Natalie Nield then doubling the lead. Runcorn replied from the spot but the Alex hit straight back as Iris Bray’s free kick hit the post and Sophie Taylor netted the rebound

Crusaders advanced by a similar score at AFC Telford United, with their reward being home advantage over Redditch United.
