Wolves Women lead the FA WNL Northern Premier Division having secured victory at Hull City with a goal rush after the break.

Wolves sank hosts Hull 7-1 to go top, with Burnley’s fixture postponed. Beth Merrick’s first-half brace gave them a 2-1 interval lead, before they ran riot after the restart. Rugby edged into second spot with five goals at Halifax. Shannon Stamps’ double saw Stoke beat Middlesbrough, Georgia Stevens’ goal gave Derby victory at Sporting Khalsa, Liverpool Feds’ third win came 4-1 over Loughborough.

AFC Bournemouth held onto the leadership on goal-difference from Watford, Georgia Wilson’s late goal ensuring a Cherries win, but the Hornets edged closer with a 5-0 result aided by a Freda Ayisi treble. Plymouth are third following an excellent 4-0 win at Lewes, Real Bedford also had an impressive clear victory over Oxford. Sophie Gillies’ second-half hat-trick helped Exeter hit Hashtag for six, Beth McGowan struck as Gwalia took the points at Wimbledon.

Lexie Butterworth scored on 86 minutes to put Sheffield FC 2-1 up over Northampton, before Amber Dredge levelled deep into added time.

Emma Whall’s 46th-minute goal gave Bournemouth Sports victory over Marine Academy, Ascot twice came from behind at Maidenhead before grabbing the decider.
