Plymouth Argyle Women Secure Back to Back 5 1 League Cup Wins

Plymouth Argyle Women were 5-1 winners in the Women’s League Cup for the second time in four days and watched this time by nearly 800 fans.

Group A: Bristol Rovers 2-0 Marine Academy Plymouth (Att: 130), Plymouth Argyle 5-1 Bridgwater United (Att: 784)

Plymouth Argyle recorded another big win, Bristol Rovers got three points in the bag.

Group B: Abingdon United 1-1 Portishead Town (Att: 50), Exeter City 5-2 Southampton FC Academy (Att: 187)

Exeter City sank Saints Academy side to stay on maximum points.

Group C: Swindon Town 3-1 Keynsham Town (Att: 102), Gwalia United 4-0 Bristol City Academy

Libby Davies was at the double as Swindon defeated Keynsham.

Group D: Lewes 3-0 Brighton & Hove Albion Academy (Att: 424), Worthing 1-4 Fulham (Att: 108)

Group E: AFC Bournemouth 2-0 Moneyfields (Att: 284), Bournemouth Sports 0-4 Ascot United (Att: 95)

AFC Bournemouth have six points from two games after Sophie Quirk’s brace, Ascot are on four.

Group F: Cheltenham Town 4-0 Birmingham City Academy, Worcester City 2-0 Kidderminster Harriers (Att: 275)

Cheltenham put four past Birmingham City Academy for a second victory, Worcester got off the mark against Kidderminster with two goals in six second-half minutes.

Group G: AFC Sudbury 2-0 London City Lionesses Academy, Billericay Town 0-3 Chatham Town

Chatham and Sudbury both have two wins from two games, twins Amelia Woodgate and Maddison Woodgate both scoring for the Chats.

Group H: Actonians 2-1 Chelsea Academy (Att: 114), AFC Wimbledon 6-1 Maidenhead United

Actonians saw off Chelsea Academy to keep a 100% record, Hannah Billingham made her 200th competitive appearance during a big win for Wimbledon.

Group I: Dulwich Hamlet 2-0 Crystal Palace Academy (Att: 565), Hashtag United 2-2 London Bees (Att: 145)

Dulwich defeated Palace PGA to sit two points clear of Hashtag in second.

Group J: Queens Park Rangers 6-1 Charlton Athletic Academy, Watford 9-0 Chesham United (Att: 183)

Watford are top on goal-difference from QPR after Lachante Paul hit a hat-trick for the nine-goal Hornets and Melis Mehmet four of Rangers’ six.

Group K: Loughborough Lightning 1-2 Arsenal Academy (Att: 85), Rugby Borough 1-0 Northampton Town

Rugby narrowly secured a second victory with a Kelis Barton goal, Arsenal Academy netted an 83rd-minute decider at Loughborough.

Group L: Peterborough United 1-2 Cambridge United (Att: 411), Real Bedford 2-0 Norwich City (Att: 223)

Bedford beat Norwich to move three points ahead of the Canaries, Cambridge’s quick first-half double was enough to beat Peterborough.

Group M: Luton Town 2-1 Milton Keynes Dons, Oxford United 3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Academy (Att: 221)

Oxford are in control of the group, leading Luton on goal-difference with the pair meeting in the last game.

Group N: West Bromwich Albion 2-0 Leicester City Academy (Att: 371), Leafield Athletic 4-0 Stourbridge (Att: 70)

West Brom’s win at The Hawthorns has them top with six points, Rhianne Oakley and Molly Kehoe their scorers.

Group O: Sutton Coldfield Town 1-3 Sporting Khalsa (Att: 64), Boldmere St Michaels 1-1 Aston Villa Academy (Att: 115)

Aston Villa Academy lead on goal-difference from Boldmere, where they drew. Ania Denham got two of Khalsa’s three goals at Sutton Coldfield.

Group P: Derby County 6-2 Lincoln United (Att: 251), Sheffield FC 0-2 Notts County (Att: 88)

Six-goal Derby are on as many points but had to come from a goal down to defeat Lincoln. Notts County won at Sheffield FC with both goals after the break.

Group Q: Stoke City 6-0 Wythenshawe (Att: 76), Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-1 Manchester United Academy (Att: 120)

Wolves won again when seeing off Man Utd’s youngsters, Evie Priestly scored a couple for six-goal Stoke.

Group R: Cheadle Town Stingers 2-2 Stockport County (Att: 137), Liverpool Feds 3-0 Liverpool FC Academy (Att: 242)

Harriet Houghton equalised after 94 minutes for Cheadle, Liverpool Feds set up their victory over Liverpool FC Academy with two goals around the 15-minute mark.

Group S: Doncaster Rovers Belles 1-0 Barnsley Women (Att: 184), Hull City 6-1 Sheffield United Academy (Att: 251)

Doncaster’s Abi Coley forced a Barnsley own-goal that was decisive, Hull hit six goals in the evening match to move onto six points.

Group T: Burnley 6-0 Huddersfield Town, Chorley 8-0 Blackburn Rovers (Att: 130)

While Burnley posted a 6-0 score, Chorley ran riot with seven second-half goals against Blackburn.

Group U: Halifax 6-1 York City (Att: 112), Norton & Stockton Ancients 2-2 Leeds United (Att: 185)

Leeds and Norton are level at the top, Halifax had six different scorers against York.

Group V: Chester le Street Town 1-2 Durham Cestria (Att: 86), Middlesbrough 0-0 Sunderland Academy (Att: 403)

Middlesbrough’s goalless draw with Sunderland Academy sees them joint leaders. A penalty straight after the restart by Grace Collinson gave Durham Cestria a win on the road.
