Liverpool Women have completed the signing of Spanish full-back Alejandra Bernabe, following her loan spell from Chelsea during last season.
She has one senior cap for Spain, has played in the Champions League and had spells with Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad and began her career at Madrid CFF.
Bernabe, sidelined by injury towards the end of last season, told Liverpoolfc.com: “I’m so much better [now]. It was an injury that I didn’t expect. It’s a long time.
“I’m still nearly [able] to go to the pitch, so I’m feeling so good. Doing the rehab here is better. I think I’m so nearly [ready] to go, but also my feet are on the ground. I’ll go step by step.
“The most important thing is that I feel good, I don’t have pain. So, looking forward.”
