Tottenham Hotspur Women were 4-3 winners over Arsenal Women in a pre-season friendly at Boreham Wood FC on Saturday 23 August.

The Gunners took an early lead as Victoria Pelova got clear to beat Lize Kop on her near post but a mix-up in the home defence allowed Bethany England to win the ball in the box and equalise.

Arsenal were back ahead by the break, Beth Mead’s cross turned into her own net by the unfortunate Charlotte Grant.

Spurs turned the match round with two goals in a three-minute spell, England levelling from a penalty and Matilda Vinberg hitting the far corner of the net.

Caitlin Foord got in behind to bring it back to 3-3 but Eveliina Summanen’s free-kick beat goalkeeper Anneke Borbe to give Tottenham the victory.
