Sweden international Fridolina Rolfö has joined Manchester United Women on a contract until June 2027, after four years with Barcelona.
She won her 100th cap for Sweden at Women’s EURO 2025, with her goal tally for her country now standing at 33.
The two-time UWCL winner is a left-sided player in attack or defence, has 313 senior club appearances and 113 goals with clubs including Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich.
Rolfö told manutd.com: “It’s really exciting to be joining Manchester United, not just because of the size and history of the club, but also to become part of the journey the club is on in the women’s game. I have been fortunate to enjoy lots of success at Barcelona and other clubs I have played for, and now I want the same at Manchester United. The WSL is probably the strongest league in the world right now, so that was a big part of the appeal of coming here, as well as the chance to help the team establish itself in the Champions League. I can’t wait to work with Marc, his staff and my new team-mates and get started with this new adventure in my career.”
Matt Johnson, director of women’s football, said: “Fridolina is one of the most talented and successful players in the women’s game, both at club and international level. She will add quality and experience to our squad, and the winning mentality of someone with over 20 major honours and 100 international caps. Her signing demonstrates the ambition we have to compete at the highest level in domestic and European competition, and we are delighted to welcome Fridolina to Manchester United.”
