Yana Daniëls joins Burnley

Burnley Women have signed Belgium international Yana Daniëls, who spent the last four seasons with Liverpool.

She has 45 caps and seven goals for her country, while her club sides have icluded FC Twente and Bristol City.

After a year with the Robins and 12 months at Liverpool she settled in the southwest and became a regular in City’s WSL side.

Daniëls said: “It feels amazing to be here! I like the settings of the training ground and Burnley have such big plans going forwards with the women’s team, so the move felt right.

“England feels like home to me now and gives me the opportunity to enjoy life outside of football, which I think is really important.

“The people here have been really friendly too, and it feels like a family club.”
