Portsmouth have signed former Blackburn Rovers and Reading midfielder Tia Primmer on a one-year contract, with a club option of an additional 12 months.

She came through the Royals’ academy system and made her WSL debut in 2021, going onto make over 40 appearances before joining Blackburn last season.

Pompey boss Jay Sadler told portsmouthfc.co.uk: “We’re excited to welcome Tia to the club. She’s a combative midfielder with raw talent and joins us with valuable league experience already.

“Tia has huge potential for development, and we believe this is the right environment for her to continue her growth.

“I’m really looking forward to working with her and seeing what she can bring to the group.”
