Leicester City have appointed Lee Billiard as their new Director of Women’s and Girls’ Football.

He brings more than a decade of senior experience across elite-level clubs in both England and the United States and will oversee the strategic and operational development of the women’s and girls’ programme, working closely with Head Coach Amandine Miquel and senior leadership at King Power Stadium.

Billiard most recently served as Head of Women’s Football at Aston Villa, where he helped the team achieve a club-record fifth-place finish in the Barclays Women’s Super League during his four-year spell there. His previous roles include senior leadership positions at Bristol City and Nottingham Forest, along with several years in the National Women’s Soccer League in the United States.

With a strong track record of sustainable success and high-performance culture, he has built a reputation for aligning recruitment, player welfare and performance strategy, while also driving the commercial growth of the women’s game.

Leicester City Chief Executive Susan Whelan said: “We are delighted to welcome Lee to LCFC Women. His experience across all facets of the women’s game, both in the UK and internationally, makes him a valuable addition to our leadership team. His passion for building successful environments will be instrumental as we continue our commitment to growth and sustainability in the women’s game.”

New Director of Women’s and Girls’ Football, Lee Billiard, said: “I’m honoured to be joining LCFC Women at such an exciting point in the Club’s journey. The Club have made huge strides in recent seasons and there is a clear ambition to continue that development. I’m looking forward to working with the players, staff and supporters to help build something long-term and successful here.”
