Sheffield United sign midfielder Connie Scofield on an initial one-year deal with an option of a further year through to 2027.
The Northern Ireland international midfielder originally joined the Blades in January on loan from London City Lionesses, instantly becoming a regular starter for Ash Thompson’s side in the second half of the season.
Scofield has previously played for the likes of Birmingham City and Leicester City in the top tier.
She said: “I’m super happy and buzzing to get going. When I joined in January I really bought into the club, loved the fans, loved playing at Bramall Lane, loved the fans, loved the girls I was playing with, and I wanted to continue that into this year.”
Head coach Ash Thompson commented: “I couldn’t be more pleased to have brought Connie back to the club on a permanent basis. She had a huge impact on our team when she arrived in January and as well as being a player with top division and international experience, she’s a fantastic character too.”
