UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 will for the first time see players receive a guaranteed percentage of the prize money, which at €41 million (nearly £35M) is a 156% increase on 2022.

All 16 teams will receive a €1.8 million participation fee, three times that of the last edition of the tournament.

A group draw brings €50,000 and a win €100,000, increasing through the knockout stages to give a potential high of €5.1m for the eventual champions.

The pot for compensating European clubs who release players for the tournament doubles to €9 million, paid at a rate of €657 per day, to include ten preparation days and one extra for travel.

Each participating national association must allocate between 30% and 40% of the total distributions received to its players. The remainder of the pot is allocated to cover national association expenses and/or other initiatives aiding the development of women’s football.
