Brighton women's new signing, Moeka Minami

Brighton and Hove Albion have signed experienced Japanese international Moeka Minami from Serie A side Roma.

Head coach Dario Vidosic said: “It’s great to welcome Moeka to the club. She has got vast experience both for her country and in Europe with Roma and she will be an exciting addition to our squad.

“We are looking forward to helping her settle into a new environment and to working with her ahead of the new season.”

The 26-year-old joins Albion from AS Roma, for whom she helped win back-to-back Serie A titles in 2023 and 2024. Last season she made 29 appearances for the Italian club including eight in the Champions League.

She has won 61 senior caps for Japan and played at the last two World Cups as well as the 2024 Olympics. Moeka started her career with Urawa Reds before joining Roma in 2022.
