Aggie Beever-Jones hit a first-half hat-trick as England blew away Portugal 6-0 in the UEFA Women’s Nations League at Wembley Stadium.
The Lionesses struck twice in the opening five minutes, Beever-Jones first on the scoresheet before Lucy Bronze headed home following a Lauren Hemp cross.
Andreia Norton saw her header come back off an England upright, before the hosts went on to build a 5-0 interval lead.
Bronze delivered for an unmarked Beever-Jones to head in off the crossbar, Beth Mead was played in by Jess park to score, with Beever-Jones then completing a first-half treble.
Chloe Kelly headed home number six from a Mead cross just after the hour mark but missed a glorious chance when Leah Williamson’s free-kick was tipped onto the crossbar by Ines Pereira.
England go to Spain on Tuesday, requiring all three points to take top spot off them.
