Vicky Jepson is to depart her role as Spurs Women’s Senior Assistant Coach at the end of the season to lead the United States Women’s U-20 team.

Formerly with Liverpool for more than a decade, Jepson joined Tottenham in August 2021 and as Interim Head Coach helped them maintain their Barclays Women’s Super League status.

Andy Rogers, Managing Director of Tottenham Hotspur Women, told tottenhamhotspur.com: “Vicky has been a great ambassador for our club. Her leadership helped us maintain our WSL status, and she has always been a driver of the growth and development of this team. In addition to the journey she’s been on with Tottenham Hotspur, we are also proud of her for becoming one of just 17 women to achieve the UEFA Pro License. She now has the opportunity for a new challenge in one of the biggest international set-ups, and the Club wishes her every success.”

Tracey Kevins, Head of Development for USA Women’s and Girls’ YNTs told ussocccer.com: “We are thrilled to welcome Vicky Jepson to our Youth National Team staff. Vicky brings a wealth of experience, tactical knowledge and a proven track record of developing talent for the highest levels. Her leadership will be instrumental in driving our U-20 program, which serves as a crucial step in our National Team pathway.”

Jepson commented: “It’s hard leaving Tottenham Hotspur after four memorable years at the club, but I’m moving on to work for the most progressive organization in the world for women’s football. Working alongside the incredible leadership of Tracey [Kevins], Matt Crocker and of course a serial winner in Emma Hayes is an amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to get started.”
