Manuela Vanegas Signs New Contract With Brighton Women

Manuela Vanegas has signed a new contract with Brighton Women, the club she joined from Real Sociedad in summer 2025.

Head coach Arturo Ruiz told brightonandhovealbion.com: “This is great news for Manuela and for Brighton.
“Since I came to the club I have been impressed with Manuela’s work-rate, commitment to what we are trying to achieve and her willingness to become an even better player.
“

The 25-year-old Colombia international, who played at the 2023 World Cup, has established herself in the Albion defence and was part of the team which played in last season’s FA Cup final at Wembley.

She has so far made 28 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals, including one in the 3-2 win against Liverpool in the Adobe FA Cup semi-final.
