The England Women squad has been named for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 Qualifying Play-off double header with Greece.
In the first squad of the 2026-27 season, Chelsea midfielder Lexi Potter earns her first call up to the seniors, while there is a return for the uncapped Erica Meg Parkinson after April’s debut call-up. Both of them have featured across the England pathway.
Captain Leah Williamson also returns after missing June’s fixtures with injury.
Sarina Wiegman’s team will head to the Pankritio Stadium in Crete for the first leg on Friday, 9 October 2026, with a 5.30pm kick-off.
The home tie comes four days later on Tuesday, 13 October, starting at 7.30pm at the King Power Stadium in Leicester.

“We have great respect for Greece, but our expectations of ourselves are clear,” Wiegman told englandfootball.com.
“We are here to win these two games, deliver strong performances, and move one step closer to securing our place at the World Cup.
“It’s always exciting to reconnect as a group and we are looking forward to getting back together. The players will arrive motivated and ready for the next steps.
“We are looking forward to travelling to Crete and playing Greece for the first time ever. We will then return to Leicester, where we’ve enjoyed some good moments together in the past. We know our supporters will get behind the team again, and it will be great to play in front of them after a few months away.”
