In the Women’s FA Cup 14 Teams Advanced on Penalties

In the Women’s FA Cup second round qualifying, fourteen teams advanced after winning on penalties.

Wroxham had an extended shoot-out after a 3-3 deadlock at fellow Eastern League Premier Division side Histon, eventually progressing 6-5 on spot-kicks.

St Agnes won 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw at full time in the all-Cornish clash at Sticker.

Wallsend BC had a seven-goal thriller with Darlington, as did North Ferriby against Silsden, Stamford versus Loughborough Foxes Vixens, Walsall at Broseley, and Sutton United (Birmingham) away to Rugby Town.

Bowers & Pitsea top-scored with 15 goals at Hutton, Oxford City put a dozen past Penn & Tylers Green in front of a crowd of 224, and Preston North End played Wirral United at Deepdale, where over 500 watched them win 5-1.

Winning clubs at this stage get £3,500 from the prize fund, while losing teams receive £1,000.
