London City Lionesses defender Jana Fernàndez has extended her contract with the club until the summer of 2029.
The right back joined from Barcelona in August 2025, featured in all of London City’s league matches last season and was voted Fans’ Player of the Season at the club for 2025/26.
The Spanish international was part of the squad that finished runners-up at the Women’s EURO 2025 and won both the U17 World Cup and the U17 EURO.
A five-time Primera División champion, Fernández has also claimed the Copa de la Reina three times, the Supercopa de España Femenina four times, and the UEFA Women’s Champions League on three occasions.
Fernàndez told londoncitylionesses.com: “I’m absolutely delighted to sign a new contract here at London City.
“When I arrived in England one year ago, I joined this club with dreams for the future.
“Potential, excitement and progress are three words I associate with the club and I’m pleased to commit my future. I feel at home and settled here.
“We are building something special together, as players, staff and fans and I can’t wait to play my part.“
