SWPL Fast Fives: Clare Docherty

In her third season at Partick Thistle and previously the team’s top scorer and assist maker, Clare Docherty had accepted a move to right-back and takes the questionnaire in good humour about it: her aim is a top-six finish and at least one goal, with the new position offered as the excuse, and clean sheets now mattering more. She has worn number eight for as long as she can remember, rates her pace as her biggest strength and picks captaining Mill United to promotion as her happiest time in the game. Asked for a talent outside football she says, flatly, that she has none. On teammates she is generous and self-deprecating, naming herself as the most forgetful with a head like a sieve.
