View From The Field: Kerys Kicks (Kerys Harrop column)

Kerys Harrop closes her first season in London reflecting that Tottenham could have achieved more, having been inconsistent in the league, but takes real pride in the club reaching a first FA Cup quarter-final and finishing with wins. She has enjoyed the move south, and enjoys teaching on a football coaching course at Middlesex University alongside playing. The weekend she writes about gave her three emotions in three days: joy at Leicester beating Chelsea in the men’s FA Cup and at what it meant to the fans, satisfaction at Spurs beating Sheffield United, and disappointment watching Chelsea lose the Champions League final to Barcelona. She was pleased for her former Birmingham team-mate Jess Carter, who started it. She signs off wishing everyone a summer to switch off.
