The She Kicks Locker Room: Car Quiz with Gemma Evans (Bristol City)

Bristol City’s Welsh defender answers the magazine’s regular questions about her car, and the answers turn out to be mostly about the driving. It is a Mercedes A-Class, silver, and she calls the colour suspiciously undecided. Her taxi service as a child was her mother and father, all the time. The five football-related things always in the car are her boots, her drink bottles, snacks, socks and clean clothes – a big jacket for when it rains. The striking number is the commute: she travels to Bristol from Wales every day, at least four hours behind the wheel, which she passes with a coffee on the way. Her ideal road-trip passenger would be Will Smith, on the grounds that he seems good fun.
