Little Kicks: Readers’ Photos With Their Favourite Players

The readers’ page collects two photographs and the stories behind them. Maya’s favourite player is Hibernian’s Joelle Murray, the first Scotland player she ever met and, her parent writes, her inspiration – and she is lucky enough to own Murray’s shirt from the 2017 Euros. Kate is pictured with Keira Walsh at a Same Goals session at Manchester City, and the accompanying note explains that Keira is a favourite because she is such a great player and a really nice person, adding that Kate was delighted when Walsh extended her contract. Both contributions arrived by Twitter and both children are named only by first name. The page closes with the standing invitation for readers to send in drawings and photographs by tweet, email or post.
