A two-page photographic round-up of the 2018-19 awards season, running from the televised broadcasters’ ceremonies through to the game’s own end-of-season night. The spread carries presentation photographs taken against Sky Sports and PFA step-and-repeat backdrops, including a player receiving a PFA trophy alongside her men’s-game counterpart, further trophy portraits from the same evening, and a framed presentation made to a long-serving figure. The facing page moves to The FA Women’s Football Awards themselves, opening on a wide shot of the ceremony staging and closing with a full red-carpet line-up of the assembled players and guests. Neither page carries a caption, the photographs standing on their own. Taken together the spread marks the moment the domestic season was formally honoured, immediately before the World Cup.
