Both promoted Northern Division sides, Middlesbrough and Leicester City Women, are pushing Blackburn Rovers at the top of the FA Women’s Premier League. In the South, Tottenham lead having dropped only two points, with Charlton Athletic, Coventry United and an unbeaten Cardiff City close behind. Loughborough Foxes and Guiseley lead the Midlands and Northern Division 1 respectively, chasing immediate returns, and Cambridge United head the South East from AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons. The South West is a five-way scrap with Chichester City just ahead of Plymouth Argyle. In the cup quarter-finals last season’s finalists Tottenham and Cardiff both progressed, while Charlton beat West Brom on penalties, Grace Coombs scoring the decider.
