Manchester City WFC, 2016 FA WSL 1 Champions (double-page poster)
She Kicks, issue 39, January 2017 pp.32–33
A double-page pull-out poster of Manchester City Women as 2016 FA WSL 1 champions, credited to FA via Getty Images and carrying no text beyond the title and the club. It is the second City team poster in successive issues, following the Continental Cup winners’ spread in the November edition, and marks a season in which the club won the league at the first attempt with a two-nil win over Chelsea before a league record 4,096, conceded only three goals all season, took the Continental Cup seven days later and reached the last sixteen of the Champions League. No individual player is identified on the spread, the squad pictured together as champions.
