Safe Hands: Rosie Todd (Huddersfield Town Ladies and York College)

Seventeen-year-old Rosie Todd of Huddersfield Town Ladies and York College describes coming from a family of goalkeepers – father, grandfather and brother – and moving from left-back into goal at eight, never to turn back. Her coaches call her Little Neuer for her pace and sweeping, which she rates as her best attribute because it prevents one-against-one situations in the box. Her favourite save came against Accrington College, racing out and tipping the ball over the bar. She names Pepe Reina and Rachel Brown-Finnis as all-time favourites and York’s Michael Ingham as her local one, and calls attending an England Under-17 training camp her most memorable experience in goal.
